Scam email requesting payment
We have been made aware of a fraudulent email currently being sent to some CFP® Professionals. This email falsely claims to be from FPSB Ireland and requests payment for membership subscriptions.
The scam email may come from an email ending in @centrum.cz, but please be aware that the sender’s address could change. It may also include messages such as:
- ‘If you’ve already paid please reply to this email and attach a copy of your payment confirmation for our records.’
- ‘To pay now, simply reply to this email, and we will send you the necessary steps to complete the transaction.’
Please be assured:
- FPSB Ireland will only send emails from @fpsb.ie
- We will never ask you to make payments or share payment confirmation via email
- Licence renewals must be made by logging into the FPSB Ireland website www.fpsb.ie and making payment online, or by downloading an invoice.
If you receive a suspicious email:
- Do not reply, click any links, or share any personal or payment information.
- Then delete it immediately
- If you have replied to the scammers' email, please forward any correspondence to [email protected].
